Today in Fussen we found an extraordinary combination of two things you don't expect to go together but the whole family enjoyed themselves! Our original plan was for the girls to go horse riding which I was really looking forward to, but Fussen doesn't seem to have a place that offers one time riders, oh well. The boys were meant to go mountain biking, but then decided to change the original plan and come horse riding with me and mum. Then that plan changed when we realized the horse riding place wasn't actually a place we could go for a good ride. So we resorted to...
Dad’s plan of finding him shorts, what fun! (not) However this plan actually turned out good as the outlet place that we went to turned out to also have a high ropes course! The course went inside of the shop and outside for a very reasonable price! So while mum and dad had their fun shopping. Max and I had our version fun by climbing around overtop of shoppers and ziplining overtop of cars.
The outside of the high ropes was really cool as it had a farm theme. After a 200 meter Zipline high above the cars we had to climb around and over a tractor obstacle, over spinning pigs, bouncy sheep and fat cows that we had to climb around. Now just to be clear the animals were fake for anyone conserned about the spinning pigs but it was very very cool.
The inside was more of a jungle theme with the usual high ropes obstacles like swinging logs and cargo nets but then there we next level obstacles too. At the start there was a crocodile thing you had to sit on, then someone pulled a rope and it took you across! There was also one similar to the crocodile further along. It was a conoe that you had to sit in and it took you half way across itself and then you had to hall yourself along the rest of the way with a rope. Awesome, I know.
So as it turns out not having a big idea of what you’re doing for the day is good because you never know where you might find a high ropes course! And sometimes going shopping can have its advantages (sometimes).

Today we wanted to have a chill out day, so after the not so chilled high ropes course we went back to the hotel and had lunch. Usually for lunch we have a selection of supermarket food. This is fun because you can eat something completely different every day. When we got back to the hotel we chilled. After reaching our bored point it was time to do some school work. I did some high flyers and Mum researched things to do in our next destination. Alyssa and Dad decided they wanted a hot chocolate and a coffee, so that is what they did. As soon as the others left the room Mum and I looked at each other and tried to conjure up a cunning plan on how to get some scrumptious gelato. We were too stale (the thesaurus is quite fun to use) to go out and get an ice cream, so we stayed back regretting our decision. After our gelato fail it was time for dinner. I had a 40 cm sausage bringing my grand total of sausage eaten in Fussen to a staggering 1 metre in 3 days. Yummy.
I give Fussen a 9\ 10 you probably only need about 3 or 4 days here though.
That's me done for today. I'll be coming back to you in a cool mystery location.

That looks like a lot of fun! I'm afraid high ropes & rooftop walking like that would terrify me but what a cool way to fill in shopping time. Nana
ReplyDeleteSee, Alyssa...shopping IS fun! 😉
ReplyDelete(I can hear your eyes rolling from here)
This high ropes course/sport shop is amazing! What an amazing idea! You look like you loved the zip line Alyssa! Max! I am not sure about the quantity of sausage in your diet! To be able to measure it in metres… we can discuss that when you’re back ;)
ReplyDeleteYou guys both sound like this was a super fun day!
