Today we started our first road trip. It was a little bit nerve wracking starting this experience in the Munich traffic (and I wasn’t even driving). Rich may have told me at one point to stop saying, “eeek!” But we made it to Füssen without too much drama. Super impressive Rich!
Füssen is beautiful, it’s right beside a lake and forest. We spent a bit of time looking around the shops. Alyssa picked out a magnet for her collection to remind her of the places we visited, and I choose a Christmas decoration for my collection. I’m really looking forward to exploring in the fresh air tomorrow.
Our accommodation here is beautiful (4th photo). The hours of accommodation research has been so worth it! I’ve been loving seeing the unique places I hunted out in reality.

The dinner yesterday was without a doubt the biggest and best sausage I've ever seen. It was a delectable sausage. I used a thesaurus because I say scrumptious too much. The sausage was 40 cm long. Alyssa got some pasta thing with she hated. This is what happens nearly every time Alyssa orders pasta!
My sausage was the best meal I've ever had. Scrumptious!

Oh wow, what a stunning place. It looks weird with Richard & the steering wheel on that side of the car! I hear there are no speed limits on German motorways! Love the look of your accommodation.
ReplyDeleteNow that you've tackled driving -and being supportive passengers ;-) - in Europe, watch out the Amazing Race: Family Edition? It has to be an incredible feeling living out this trip that you've planned, refined and waited for for such a long time.
ReplyDeleteMax, you write so well with your sense of humour shining through. Nice job with the thesaurus!
