Today we started off the day by watching some horses learning how to herd cows. Alyssa’s favourite part of the day.
After the horses we went to the small town of Rothenberg. This is a very cool town with a lot of history (which we learnt some of later on in the day, but I'll talk on that later). We got some lunch / cakes. I got a gelato that was meant to be €4.50 but we kinda sorta didn't get charged for that. Ssshh nobody needs to know that. After our lunch we explored the town. In other words we walked around aimlessly inside the city walls. By the end of our wandering Dad had got a t-shirt, I had got a ausfart sign (exit in German, I think it's hysterical), Alyssa added a magnet to her pile and Mum got a Christmas decoration of a moose in a long drop reading the newspaper
We came back to the ranch for a couple of hours to chill out before going back to Rothenberg for dinner. In this time Alyssa and Dad watched horses. I practised lassoing a cow and Mum got a headache. When Mum's headache calmed down we went back for dinner. For dinner I didn't have a sausage but I did eat some delicious chicken wings with fries. Scrumptious.
After dinner we went to a night watchman tour of the town. Here we learnt all about the history of the town and to never look up because there might be some poo coming from a window above. Ew. The night watchman was the best part of the day in my opinion he was funny informative and dressed for the occasion. He wore a big black cloak and carried a big axe in one hand and a lantern in the other. He was awesome I would strongly recommend doing this if you come in close proximity of Rothenberg.
That's all for today and sorry for a certain person not having entertainment when they woke up. You know who you are.
Haha sounds like a great swimming location. The town looks beautiful, will have to add it to my list. Anita
