Caves and Colditz

Today we got up and ate our last meal at the Old West Ranch. I didn't get much of a breakfast as I was last up. After breakfast we were off. We said goodbye to the Old West Ranch and hello to Colditz Castle. We had a bit of a stop about halfway to do a cave tour. We all agreed it was cool but it was mind-bogglingly slow. This was not a good thing for our patience. We stopped for lunch at Mc Donald's. It was here that Dad got some bad news that Bruce, his police mate had passed away. This wasn't the happiest lunchtime. After returning to the car Mum had a craving for an ice block and that is what she did. She came back to the car with the most yummy ice block ever. It was a magnum with cookies and cream in it I think. It was amazing whatever it was. We arrived at Colditz in the late afternoon. We just rested for the evening before going to dinner. This certainly felt like prison receiving the dinner. It was topped with the angry dinner lady that gave you evils when you looked at her. Dad and I loved the dinner but Mum and Alyssa on the other hand thought it tasted like prison food as well . We had a few board games and played a few games of ping pong. This was my evening activity I chose because I won last night. After the games we went to bed. We were knackered after a long day of sitting. It sounds dumb I know. We are going to find out tomorrow why this place feels so eerie, so stay tuned.
