Biking Adventure to Eguisheim

Today Alyssa and I got up early, but to our delight Mum had put her annoying waking up early habit to good use and got everyone croissants for breakfast. If you think it's a stereotype that French people have big moustaches and eat croissants this is not the case. It seems everyone eats croissants for breakfast here. After our scrumptious breakfast we walked to the train station to hire some bikes for the day. We got some cool looking old fashion bikes. We then proceeded to bike to the next town over from Colmar called Eguisheim. This was another old fashioned town with awesome buildings. One even had wine barrels hanging off it. After an awesome time at the town we headed back for lunch. Last night we had pasta for dinner so we ate that for lunch. Delicious. Chilling out was the best after lunch. I didn't realise how tired you get when you travel. I'll have to remember that for next time. We had to return our bikes shortly after lunch so we didn't get to lie down for long. We safely returned our bikes then went for a walk around a random market where I got some cool light weight cargo pants. Yes everyone I wear long pants now. Strange I know. Mum also found some cool hippy pants kinda like yours Griff (if your reading this). They had a cool belt and were stretchy. Mum really wanted to get these and I thought they were cool, but Dad and Alyssa were against it. Long story short Mum didn’t buy them. We returned home and got some delicious Indian for dinner then packed up ready to leave bright and early tommorow. We are coming for you Switzerland.

Today was easily my favourite day in France. I loved biking along in the French countryside, taking in the picturesque scenery. The little town of Eguisheim was even more stunning than Colmar. One of the things that really stood out for me today was seeing the birds that feature in all the gift shops. It turns out that they are storks and they make enormous nests on the roofs of buildings in this area.
